The American Academy of Nursing’s Raise the Voice campaign would like to extend an invitation for you to attend: Raise the Voice, Critical Conversation — Best Practices in Advanced Care Planning and Decision Making: Models that Work

The Academy will host a critical conversation Friday, October 7, 2011 from 9am to 12pm at the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation located at 1330 G Street NW in Washington, DC to enable journalists and policy makers to engage in a conversation with the public regarding best practices in advanced care planning and decision making.

Co-sponsored by the Rita and Alex Hillman Foundation, the California Healthcare Foundation, the Jonas Center for Nursing Excellence, the John A. Hartford Foundation, and the Archstone Foundation, this critical conversation will open with remarks by Bill Novelli, Co-Chair of the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC), Distinguished Professor of Practice at Georgetown University, and former CEO of AARP. Two dynamic panels follow led by moderators Jackie Judd from Kaiser Family Foundation and Jordan Rau from Kaiser Health News.
