2013 Summit: Public Engagement

January 30, 9:00AM-10:00AM     Panel I: Empowering the Public to Make Informed Decisions and Plans

According to recent polls, there is little awareness among the public regarding options for care during serious illness — yet the vast majority of the public want a national dialogue on this very subject.  How can stakeholders reach the public with the information they want and need, where and when they need it?   And how can we build public support for policy reform? Hear from leaders in communication, media and faith-based community programs on innovations to engage and empower the public.  And take part in the public engagement breakout session to discuss communication strategies, including messages and metrics for success.
