The Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC) is hosting a National Summit on Advanced Illness Care January 29 and 30, 2013 at the National Academy of Sciences building in Washington, D.C.  This will be a critical time to elevate advanced illness to a top issue on the national agenda and around the country as health care, financial and other key policies are set.

Program

The Summit will include innovative clinical models, employer programs, community-based approaches (including clergy and faith-based initiatives), public perspectives (including consumer research and personal stories), the economics of advanced illness care, cultural diversity issues, reimbursement and other policy issues, and inter-professional education.

About the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC)

C-TAC is a non-profit, non-partisan organization based in Washington, D.C.  Members include health systems, medical and nursing groups, consumer organizations, health insurance companies, members of the faith-based community, pharmaceutical companies, other employers and hospice and palliative care organizations united by the vision that all Americans with advanced illness, especially the sickest and most vulnerable, will receive comprehensive, high-quality, person- and family-centered care that is consistent with their goals and values and that honors their dignity.
